For those who prefer a more challenging Tameshigiri target, these Omote are the professionals choice.When compared with cheaper Wara, fewer mats are needed to make a cutting target, thanks to the increased density and resistance of the woven fibres which make up the Tatami Omote (created to be the top surface of traditional Tatami mats).

 

Each mat is approximately 180cm x 90cm un-rolled.  When prepared as a target this larger size allows an additional cut as required in some competitive cutting formats.
