Top quality ladies Koban Gata (oval grip) Dobari Shinai produced especially for adult female practitioners.

 

The left hand oval shape Tsuka of this hand finished Shinai gives a tactile reference to help with perfect orientation of the Mune.  The right hand grip is a more typical round shape as the oval profile reverts to the circular Shinai shape.

 

Available in both size 38 and size 39 lengths, the Hakuden features a slightly slimmed down profile and a reduced overall weight.  This style of Tsuka is closer to that of a real sword and so this type of Shinai is often popular with practitioners of other Japanese sword arts.

 

Dobari Shinai have a wider Do section which draws the balance of the weapon back towards the hands creating a more maneuverable Monouchi.

 

Fitted with finest quality Gingawa leather fittings, these Shinai are supplied fully assembled and come complete with Tsuba & Dome.
